Ian Clark
Ian Clark
Ian Clark is a pre-press operator at the daily Leicester Mercury newspaper in the UK, who joined the course part-time in 2003. Ian comments:

"The MSc is already paying dividends for me and for my company. One of our ambitions was to gain membership of the International Colour Quality Club, the 50 newspapers throughout the world who are recognised as having the best colour reproduction quality. Bringing what I learnt on the course back to my job gave a huge boost to our entry, and we were delighted to win INCQC membership in 2004."

"The course was a turning point in my career. It enabled me to build on the imaging skills that I had learnt in the previous 15 years of commercial photography and with the help of the guys at LCC move on to learn a new set of skills within digital imaging. This allowed me to change the direction of my career and move from the commercial to the heritage imaging sector.

After spending some time at TATE in London and then with the Technical Advisory Service for Images at the University of Bristol, I now run my own imaging consultancy business called BremWeb Imaging. Wherever I go, people consider me an expert in Digital Imaging, but all the building blocks for that knowledge were laid on this course."

George Simonian
George Simonian
After completing the course, George Simonian went on to gain his PhD from Helwan University, Cairo, where he now works as a lecturer in Print Media Technologies. George says "My time at the LCC was one of the best of my life. Enjoying the wonderful social and cultural life at the College and in the most beautiful capital city of the world, I gained experience and knowledge from the staff members, which had the greatest positive effect on my subsequent career."

George presented his Major Project at the 28th IARIGAI Conference in Montreal, and he continues to contribute to many local, regional and international conferences, seminars and publications. He is also a visiting lecturer at the Heidelberg Print Media Academy in Cairo.
